)- The Zachary Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Zachary Community School District is hosting its first National Manufacturing Day in an effort to promote the work of manufacturers and improve public perception of manufacturing career opportunities. Planned events include a proclamation by the City, a presentation by the Louisiana College and Technical System (LCTCS) drawing attention to the outstanding opportunities that a career in manufacturing can provide, and presentations by Georgia-Pacific, ExxonMobil Chemical Company, and the Coca Cola Bottling Company. This inaugural event will take place at the Zachary High School Athletic Center from 9:00-11:00 am and include 50 high school students and 30 community leaders.
