Mayor's Prayer Breakfast

A full breakfast buffet will be served by the Rotary Club of Zachary beginning at 7:00 a.m. in the Christian Life Center at the Plains Presbyterian Church. Music will be provided by the Zachary High School Jazz Band and the newly formed Zachary Community Choir. The Zachary Community Choir is comprised of choir members from area churches located in Zachary. Attendees will hear prayers from local clergy members and musical solo performances by Roby Wax and Michelle Willis.

Special artwork was selected by the Zachary Regional Arts Council for this year’s program. The RACZ chose a beautiful watercolor piece, by local artist, Jenny Musacchia. Area businesses have been invited to participate by decorating one of the forty-five tables with fall centerpieces. If you are interested in decorating a table this year, contact Sharon Phillips at 225 936-6523. There is no fee to participate.

“Please join us as we gather together to usher in the New Year and reflect on our many blessings as a City,” says the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast Steering Committee. This year’s breakfast and program is being sponsored by generous businesses, organizations and individuals of our community who wish to continue this annual event, which has been in existence for over thirty years. Due to their generosity, this year’s breakfast will be complimentary.

The 2017 Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast Steering Committee consists of the following members: Kathi Brumley, Lynn Buzhardt, Beetle Fisher, Kathleen Hopewell, Sharon McKnight, Floyd Pelichet, Mary Landry, Sharon Phillips, Felicia Samuels and Pastor Ricky Willis.
